Transaction

Pava Partners exclusively advised the shareholders of ALPINA Burkard Bovensiepen GmbH + Co. KG on the sale of the ALPINA brand to BMW Group. The successful transaction marks the beginning of a new chapter for the long-standing close partnership between the two companies.

With the acquisition of the ALPINA brand, the BMW Group is creating even more variety in its own luxury segment. Until the end of 2025, the Bovensiepen family company will continue to develop, manufacture and sell the exclusive BMW ALPINA vehicles based on the existing cooperation. In addition, ALPINA Burkard Bovensiepen GmbH + Co. KG and the BMW Group will remain in close future collaboration; among other things, the existing development and engineering service for BMW will be further expanded. The family-owned company is strategically realigning itself, strengthening its Classic business and will in future also make its longstanding know-how and engineering expertise available to other car manufacturers, both in the field of conventional combustion technology and increasingly in electromobility.

Andreas Bovensiepen, Managing Director of ALPINA Burkard Bovensiepen GmbH + Co. KG, elaborates, “We recognized the challenges in the automotive industry on time and are now setting the right direction for ALPINA and also for our family business BOVENSIEPEN.”

“We thank Pava Partners for their excellent guidance and advice on this complex transaction. We will continue our father’s life’s work and invest in the equally well-known brand BOVENSIEPEN. With our expertise, our high-quality standards, we will continue to bring other, convincing mobility offerings to the market in the future,” says Florian Bovensiepen, Managing Director of ALPINA Burkard Bovensiepen GmbH + Co. KG.

The closing of the transaction is still subject to various conditions precedent, in particular approval by the relevant antitrust authorities.
