cosinuss° has developed a globally unique technology for innovative in-ear sensors for mobile vital sign monitoring, which now expands the portfolio of corpuls, the leading manufacturer of innovative high-end devices for emergency and intensive care medicine.

As part of the corpuls family, cosinuss° can now further develop its innovative in-ear sensor for mobile vital parameter monitoring and bring it to market worldwide. The two Bavarian medical technology companies aim to jointly access new markets and enhance their innovative strength by leveraging the gained synergies. The cosinuss° location in Munich will remain unchanged. corpuls will take over all employees and continue to rely on the management team consisting of company founders Greta Kreuzer and Dr. Johannes Kreuzer.

Universal access to relevant vital parameters

The cosinuss° monitoring technology enables universal access to relevant vital parameters such as core body temperature, oxygen saturation, and pulse rate—fully wireless. The sensors are ideal for use in challenging environments, emergency rooms, patient transport or large-scale emergencies, by the fire department, in tactical medicine or in mobile, integrated healthcare.

The sensor is placed in the external ear canal for continuous monitoring. The measurements of individual or multiple patients can then be viewed simultaneously on a smartphone or tablet, regardless of location. Using the software on their smartphones, emergency responders can virtually bring additional medical specialists to the emergency site via audio or video transmission and send live medical data such as ECG values or vital parameters, videos, and photos.

The cosinuss° sensor will be integrated into corpuls.mission CONFERENCE and, together with the corpuls defibrillators, will provide an ideal combination for customers. However, it also works independently as an extremely compact patient monitoring system.
