Pava Partners advised DOT GmbH (“DOT”) on the acquisition of all shares in Aristotech Industries GmbH (“Aristotech”).

Aristotech operates one of the last independent forges for orthopedic implants in the European medical technology industry in Luckenwalde near Berlin.

By integrating Aristotech, DOT, one of the world’s leading providers of medical coating technologies for orthopedic implants, will position itself as a one-stop-shop contract manufacturer for implant manufacturers (orthopedic OEMs) in the future.

From closed-die forging and precision machining (CNC) to coating and end-of-line packaging, all production steps on the way to the finished implant can now be offered from a single source. This consolidation of the entire value chain, including its centralized control, enables the most efficient form of collaboration with DOT’s customers. The acquisition of Aristotech marks a strategic milestone for DOT in the company’s development into a full-service outsourcing partner for orthopedic OEMs worldwide. DOT is thus successfully continuing its growth trajectory of recent years.

“Pava Partners supported us in every phase of this process with the utmost professionalism and excellent know-how. The Pava team’s in-depth knowledge of the entire international MedTech industry is particularly noteworthy, regardless of whether it concerns products, manufacturing processes, customers or competitors. We would like to thank the entire team for this excellent cooperation,” says Christian Körtge, Managing Director of DOT.

The parties have agreed not to disclose financial details of the transaction.
