Pava Partners has advised ENPULSION, the global market leader in electric satellite propulsion systems from Austria, on a growth financing round of EUR 22.5m from Nordwind Growth (“Nordwind”).
With the investment from Nordwind ENPULSION is launching the next phase of its strategy to become a global leader in space mobility. Nordwind is an experienced growth partner for ENPULSION. This is Nordwind’s first investment in the space sector.
With the rapid expansion of global mega-constellations, increasing geopolitical fragmentation, and growing demands on sovereign satellite infrastructure, precise mobility in orbit is becoming a key strategic imperative.
Building on its industry-leading electric propulsion technology and substantial space heritage with over 320 propulsion systems in orbit, ENPULSION will offer comprehensive mobility solutions for satellites in the future. The goal is to ensure all aspects of movement, positioning, and maneuverability in orbit in an integrated manner and to develop mission-specific solutions together with customers. The growth capital will be used to expand production capacities, penetrate international markets and develop the next generation of products in the field of integrated space mobility systems. While the company continues to consolidate its position in Europe, the US market is becoming increasingly important strategically. ENPULSION is benefiting from the rapidly growing demand there for independent and scalable mobility solutions for satellites.
Since its founding, ENPULSION has developed into a global market leader in electric propulsion systems for micro- and nanosatellites in a capital-intensive industry with high capital efficiency.
In this transaction, Pava Partners teamed up with space experts Sven-Olof Koopmann and Hale Reynolds of PULSAR Space Consulting, who provided invaluable expertise on the industry and technology as well as a strong global network in the space industry.
