One of the five largest medical laboratories in Switzerland passes into new hands. A team of industry experts with a background in laboratory medicine, together with the investment company GENUI, is taking over labor team w ag. A professional management team is forming under the leadership of Dr med. Alain M. Cahen as CEO, who has many years of leadership and managerial experience in the pharmaceutical industry and laboratory medicine as well as in leading hospitals. The new chairman of the advisory board will be Prof Dr med. Joerg Debatin, who habilitated at the University Hospital of Zurich and, as former CEO of amedes AG, is very familiar with the laboratory industry.
The new owners are taking over the company with the entire infrastructure of the state-of-the-art central laboratory in Goldach (SG) and the know-how and commitment of the more than 400 employees. The systemically important laboratory has developed rapidly in recent years and proved its strengths during the COVID-19 pandemic. Pava Partners advised GENUI.
