Pava Partners has exclusively advised the Austrian medical device manufacturer iSYS Interventional Systems on a joint venture with Medtronic, a worldwide leading manufacturer of medical technology. The aim of the joint venture will be to facilitate the development of robot-based operating instruments for navigated neurosurgery. Pava Partners supported the entire transaction process and advised iSYS Interventional Systems in all phases of the negotiation.
Dr. Michael Vogele, Founder and Shareholder of iSYS Interventional Systems:
“I already got to know and come to appreciate Pava Partners during the sale process of my first company Medical Intelligence, so I knew that I could fully rely on Pava Partners again in this second transaction. I was particularly impressed by the Partners’ deep understanding of the complexities within the medical technology industry and their significant know-how regarding the preparation and execution of negotiations with large international corporations.”
The conclusion of this joint venture between iSYS Interventional Systems and Medtronic again underlines our expertise in the medical technology sector as well as in cross-border transactions with global players. The current transaction fits in seamlessly with the other successful transactions in which we supported highly innovative companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in a process with global players, includingthe accquisition of Advanced Medical Technologies, Nonnweiler, by Medtronic, the acquisition of NORMED Medizin-Technik, Tuttlingen, by Zimmer and the sale of Alhenia to Orchid.
