Transaction
Quarton International (“Quarton”) has advised MS Direct Group AG (“MS Direct Group”) and all other shareholders of Quickmail AG (“Quickmail”), the only private mail service provider in Switzerland, on the sale of the majority of shares to a group of investors represented by Verium AG. The parties have agreed not to disclose further details of the transaction.
Quickmail is the first private company in Switzerland to deliver addressed mail since the partial liberalization of the letter market. According to the activity report of the Federal Postal Commission PostCom, it is the market leader among private mail service providers and, alongside Swiss Post, is the only company in Switzerland active in the field of mail traffic.

Quickmail currently has 150 full-time employees and 3500 part-time employees (delivery staff).
