We are delighted to welcome Oliver Markl, a Semicon expert, to our circle of partners.

Oliver has been working internationally in the Semicon and Deep Tech sector at partner level since 2015 and shares our passion for technology and its positive impact on business and society. Together with our Semicon expert and partner Philipp Schlüter, Oliver will work even more intensively on the international market and generate added value for our clients.

For the past eight years, Oliver was a partner at international London-based M&A boutiques. In the last five years alone, he has successfully advised on numerous international M&A transactions in the Semicon market, including the sale of a majority stake in AP&S (wet bench equipment), a $35 million fundraising for PTSL (probe cards), the exits of Sico Technology (silicon furnaceware) to Wietersdorfer Group, ERS electronic (advanced packaging) to Gimv and Creative Chips (ASIC) to Renesas / Dialog.

He started his M&A career at JPMorgan in London and Paris. Subsequently, he worked for a mid-market PE fund where he completed eight transactions in five European countries and supported the portfolio companies until exit.

Oliver Markl is passionate about technical innovations, is a highly experienced M&A advisor and a successful entrepreneur: in 2011, he founded the Sport Alliance GmbH in Hamburg together with a partner, which he managed as Co-CEO. As the market leader in Germany, the company offers a SaaS solution for fitness studios, which is used by over 5 million gym members today.

Driven by the huge demand for AI chips, the sector is currently booming. In the interests of our customers, we want to take account of the growing importance of this sector. With Oliver Markl on board, who brings along many valuable contacts, we are now even more broadly and internationally positioned, which will benefit all our clients.
