Markus Wiegmann brings over 30 years of experience in various roles at renowned MedTech companies - from aap Implantate and ulrich medical to the Stryker Corporation. At Stryker, he spent over 20 years in diverse leadership positions, including heading R&D, Finance and IT, as well as serving as Director of Business Development M&A. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Managing Director, overseeing the commercial business in the DACH region and Poland. Over the course of that time, Stryker achieved an average double-digit annual growth rate in the region and generated revenues in the upper hundreds of millions. During the final years of his tenure at Stryker, Markus served as an elected board member of BVMed, making him an active contributor to the German Health Care industry beyond his management role.

Markus earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ruhr University Bochum. He complemented his education with a part-time executive program at Henley Management College in Henley-on-Thames, United Kingdom, and a leadership program at Harvard Business School.

In his personal life, Markus is passionate about travel and exploration — especially motorcycle riding off the beaten path and scuba diving. In the water, he feels completely in his element. Professionally, after more than 30 years in the MedTech industry and with deep insights into the Health Care system, he remains driven by the vision to sustainably improve Health Care delivery. His goal is to ensure that the high and continuously rising costs in the Health Care sector translate into meaningful improvements in patient outcomes.
